Busy week with the cover job this week. Nothing real exciting, just lots of the boring grunt work sorta stuff. Got a couple of family birthdays to go to this weekend, so its going to be light-next-to-nil Cam duties for me this weekend. ( My writing style may make me come off like an Ass sometimes, but I am a very family oriented type guy.) So after work, its off to pick up some gifts. I have no idea what to get though. They are both for young ladies, and I am SO out in left field as far as what is in fashon in the way of girly stuff, its not even funny. (after all, I AM a big manly man).

I suppose it would be frowned upon if I were to present my niece with a brand new shiny socket set.....

Press'en da flesh and kiss'en da babies.

Dragoncon was interesting. I have to admit that some of the costumes that I saw were really cool. But then on the other hand there was the 250lb young lady dressed as a vampire, that struck me more as looking like a big human tick. I can't belive the time and effort some people put into those things when all they are going to get out of it is a free pass for the next convention.

Reading had me passing out pamplets the first two days, which was cool with me because while I was doing it I found a guy selling fake passes, and got one for ten dollars. The pamplets look sharp, I've never seen anyone do pamplets before, I kept a couple for myself as keepsakes(evidence). Inside are a sticker (www.neurocam.com/get out of your mind) and a business card(black with red print same as sticker). I think the sticker is a good idea, even if they dont apply, odds are they'll still put the sticker somewhere. All in all, this was a good thing, becuase I love to people-watch, and I certainly got an eye full.

Armed with my fake badge I roamed around a bit and handed out pamplets to the usual suspects. Walked through the exhibitors hall, and dealers rooms (picture every dinky little comicbook store in the world all crammed into three big rooms and you get the idea).

Well, enough of this for now, I have stuff to do, if anyone is interested then leave a comment or something.
