Press'en da flesh and kiss'en da babies.
Dragoncon was interesting. I have to admit that some of the costumes that I saw were really cool. But then on the other hand there was the 250lb young lady dressed as a vampire, that struck me more as looking like a big human tick. I can't belive the time and effort some people put into those things when all they are going to get out of it is a free pass for the next convention.
Reading had me passing out pamplets the first two days, which was cool with me because while I was doing it I found a guy selling fake passes, and got one for ten dollars. The pamplets look sharp, I've never seen anyone do pamplets before, I kept a couple for myself as keepsakes(evidence). Inside are a sticker (www.neurocam.com/get out of your mind) and a business card(black with red print same as sticker). I think the sticker is a good idea, even if they dont apply, odds are they'll still put the sticker somewhere. All in all, this was a good thing, becuase I love to people-watch, and I certainly got an eye full.
Armed with my fake badge I roamed around a bit and handed out pamplets to the usual suspects. Walked through the exhibitors hall, and dealers rooms (picture every dinky little comicbook store in the world all crammed into three big rooms and you get the idea).
Well, enough of this for now, I have stuff to do, if anyone is interested then leave a comment or something.
